A Wee Bit of Scotland on the Sunshine Coast After a break of many years, the Australian Pipe Band Championships will move back to Easter to be held in conjunction with highland dancing's Champion of Champions Championships of Australia. On Saturday 3 April 2010 Caloundra will host the 'Tartan Spectacular' which will feature the Queensland Highland Dancing Championships and supporting events as well as the Australian Pipe Band Championships on the adjoining oval. On Sunday 4 April 2010 Caloundra will be treated to the most prestigious highland dancing championships in the southern hemisphere with the Champion of Champions Championships of Australia and supporting events. The Festival will bring together dancers, pipers and drummers from Australia and all over the world providing Caloundra with a fantastic weekend of dancing, music and tartan. There will also be Scottish food, drink and craft vendors on display on Saturday. PLEASE NOTE dancer entries close 5 FEBRUARY 2010. No late entries will be accepted. |
